1. Passport

   • Photocopies of first and last pages of current passport & old passport and all stamp pages of the same.
   • Validity: 6+ months from planned departure, 2+ blank pages.
   • High Resolution of all pages containing immigration stamps and visas on the current passport and two recent old passports, including the bio data page, observations page and back page of the passport.

2. Digital Photograph

   • Please provide a digital photograph as per the new requirements for Canada Visa.

Travel Details

1. Covering Letter

   • Stating applicant's purpose of visit and personal details addressed to the High Commission of Canada, New Delhi.

Occupation Details

1. Employed

   • Below letters from the company with the letterhead along with the applicant name, designation, and signature of the authorized signatory:
   • Leave Sanction letter (or) No Objection Certificate
   • Payslips of last 3 months
   • Company Appointment Letter (if applicant recently switched the company)

2. Self-employed

   • Cover Letter, with the business letterhead.
   • Business registration certificate; can be any of GST certificate, Certificate of Incorporation, Partnership deed, MOA, etc.
   • Add valid proprietorship proof.

3. Student

   • Any one of the below letter from the Institute containing the applicants name:
   • Bonafide certificate (or) Leave letter from educational institution (or) Student identity card copy.

4. Retired

   • Retirement Proof (OR)
   • Pension slip for the last 3 months.

Mandatory details

1. Additional requirements

   • All documents must be in English. Official translation is required for documents in other languages.
   • The Embassy or Consulate may request additional documents or a personal interview on a case-by-case basis.

Financial Details

1. Bank Statement

   • Applicant has to present either their own bank-statement, or the sponsor's statement if they are sponsored by a blood relative or spouse
   • Bank statement should be for last 6 months with bank's sign & seal or eStatement showing healthy closing balance and cash flow.
   • If applicant is employed, 6 months bank statement of salary account is required.

2. Property Ownership Proofs

   • List of property ownership documents

3. Investment Proofs

   • Fixed deposit statements
   • Mutual fund statements
   • Demat account holdings

Financial details

1. ITR

   • If the applicant is either a Partner (or) LLP (or) Director, Business ITR of last 3 years
   • 3 year ITR (or) Form 16 for employed and 3 year Personal ITR for self-employed.

Conditional Requirements

1. Sponsor documents

   • Sponsorship letter from the sponsor stating the applicants details and particulars for the trip.
   • Employment proof of the sponsor.
   • Bank-statement of the sponsor,
   • Government ID proof (Passport, Driving license, PAN card) of the sponsor if the sponsor is from India (or) If the sponsor is from Canada, then passport/driving license copy of the sponsor

2. Biometrics

   • Biometrics is not required if the applicant has finished biometrics in the last 10 years.

3. Marriage certificate

   • Applicable, if the spouses name is not mentioned at the back of the passport.

4. Staying with friends and family

   • Invitation letter from the invitee; addressed to the visa officer, high commissioner, Canada, new Delhi
   • Visa Copy or Resident Permit along with the ID/passport of the inviting person.
   • Address proof of the Invitor with the permanent address and contact no.of the inviting person.
